Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)
Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) or Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) is a regenerative therapy used to enhance healing of acute and chronic injuries. Bone marrow contains cells important in the healing process, including mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells and other proteins and cells that can stimulate regeneration.
Bone marrow aspirate is obtained during a same day procedure by harvesting a small amount of cells from the pelvis with local anesthesia. The cells are then concentrated and prepared for reinjection by centrifuging the aspirate and isolating the beneficial cells from the harvest. Once isolated, the cells are ready to reinject into the injured areas.
